The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is holding a meeting of its Central Committee today.
According to General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, the meeting will be held at the party’s central office in Banasthali.
The meeting will discuss and decide on several issues, including the framework for selecting candidates for the upcoming local elections.
The party is also scheduled to approve the Local Election Candidate Selection Framework 2026 and work on a document related to the “Right to Recall” provision.
The meeting will also discuss the nomination of members to various party bodies, including the Central Committee, office bearers, Secretariat members, department chiefs and the central candidate selection committee for the local elections.
According to Acharya, the meeting will further discuss plans to conduct orientation and training programmes on the candidate selection framework for Central Committee members and members of the House of Representatives in leadership roles at the local level.
The meeting is expected to set out the party’s organisational approach and preparations for the upcoming local elections.
