Kathmandu, August 17
The Nepal Sports Journalists’ Forum (NSJF) has announced its People’s Choice nominations under the 23rd edition of the “NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2082,” which will be held on September 3.
The forum has nominated volleyball player Meena Sunar, football player Puja Rana, karate athlete Sanu Maya Thing, cricketer Sher Malla, and MMA Fighter Rabindra Dhant in the People’s Choice category.
For the second year running, the forum is partnering with “Khalti by IME” as the voting partner for the People’s Choice category. Forum chair Niranjan Adhikari and Khalti by IME manager Puja Dhami signed the agreement.
The People’s Choice winner will be selected based on votes from sports journalists affiliated with the forum, national coaches, forum members, social media supporters, and votes cast through Khalti. Of the total vote weight, Khalti will account for 50 percent, while Facebook votes, chief coaches of national sports associations, and forum members will together make up the remaining 50 percent.
Voting via Facebook must be done through the official Facebook pages of the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award and Pulsar Nepal. The winner in this category will receive a Pulsar motorcycle.
