Kathmandu, April 19
The release date of the film Kaji, starring actor Bipin Karki in the lead role, has been announced. The date was revealed as May 22 during the release of its preview on Sunday.
Bipin Karki appears highly excited about the film. When asked about Kaji at a recent film premiere, he responded enthusiastically. He described Kaji as a classic love story and expressed confidence that it will deliver a surprise similar to his previous film Oonko Sweater. He also compared it to Laxmi Prasad Devkota’s novel Muna Madan, suggesting it can be regarded as an equally powerful love story.
Actor Keki Adhikari appears in the role of Kajini in the film. The romantic preview is expected to spark curiosity among audiences. The film portrays the love between a married couple, which the film team believes audiences will appreciate.
Presented by Ram Prasad Rijal, the film also features Garima Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Hemant Budhathoki, Bishal Pahari, Binod Nyaupane, Rashmi Bhatt, Hiunwala Gautam, Sandip Babu Lohani, Rosy Shrestha, Ganga Sharma, Navaraj Giri, Buddhi Sagar Khanal, Prashansa Subedi, Kritika Sharma, and Dikshita Aryal.
Produced under the banner of Rijal and Rijal Production, the film is directed by Laxman Rijal. It is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, with cinematography by Chintan Rajbhandari, music by Kali Prasad Baskota, production design by Ojaswi Ojha, colour grading by Shyam Kunwar, location sound by Sagar Aryal, and background score by Sujil Karmacharya.
Ronald Shrestha serves as the creative head, Kabiraj Gahatraj as choreographer, Prakash Hamal as production head, Banish Shah as editing supervisor, and Bipin Malla as editor. The film’s executive producer is Asim Kafle, with producers Nehan Rijal and Bikash Raj Joshi. It will be distributed across Nepal by Shree Ram Balaji Films.
