
Gorkha, March 9
Sudhan Gurung of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the election in Gorkha Constituency No. 1. The final vote count shows a wide margin between him and other candidates.
Gurung secured 29,896 votes, while his closest competitor, Prem Khatri of the Nepali Congress, received 15,398 votes. Coming in third, Hariraj Adhikari of the CPN garnered 11,124 votes, and Ramchandra Lamichhane of the CPN-UML, who finished fourth, received 3,732 votes.
