Kathmandu, January 22
Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has been assigned the responsibility of government spokesperson.
A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to entrust Aryal with the role. The post of government spokesperson had remained vacant after former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel resigned to contest the House of Representatives election.
Kharel, who stepped down from the ministerial post, is contesting the election from Lalitpur-2 as a candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
