Achham, August 29
Two people were killed and one injured when a stone fell from a cliff onto a menstrual hut in Achham district on Friday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Nim Khanal, 35, of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-8, and Kabita, a seven-year-old girl from Mangalsen Municipality-6, said DSP Om Prakash Khanal, Chief of the District Police Office.
Both died on the spot, while Kabita’s mother sustained injuries and was taken to a local health post for treatment.
A police team led by Inspector Tek Bahadur Deuba has been dispatched to the site for further investigation, Khanal added.
