Kathmandu, April 20
Traffic in Kathmandu was thrown into disarray on Sunday as protests led by teachers disrupted key routes during office hours.
The protesters gathered in the Bijulibazar area, prompting police to halt vehicular movement along the Maitighar–Babarmahal–New Baneshwor stretch. With traffic diverted from main roads to narrower inner routes, congestion intensified in multiple areas across the city.
Drivers and commuters faced significant delays, with many forced to take unfamiliar routes or spend long hours stuck in traffic.
