Flood and landslide update: 100 dead, 67 missing

The death toll from recent floods and landslides has reached 100, with 67 people still missing and 101 injured.

According to Home Ministry spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari, the fatalities are distributed as follows: 18 in Lalitpur, 15 in Dhading, 25 in Kathmandu, 10 in Kavre, 7 in Makwanpur, 6 in Sindhupalchok, 5 each in Solukhumbu, Panchthar, and Bhaktapur.

Additionally, there have been three deaths in Dolakha, two each in Sindhuli, Dhankuta, and Mahottari, and one each in Ramechhap, Jhapa, Udayapur, Ilam, Saptari, and Nuwakot.

A total of 9,983 security personnel have been deployed to conduct search and rescue operations in the flood and landslide-affected areas. So far, 3,039 individuals have been rescued, according to the Home Ministry.
