Foreign ministry says Bipin Joshi is alive in Gaza

Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it has received information about the whereabouts of Bipin Joshi who had gone missing after the the attack on Israel by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on October 7.

The Hamas attack killed 10 Nepalis.

The Ministry’s spokesperson Sewa Lamsal said the Israeli forces found a video that shows Joshi inside a hospital in Gaza.

“We have received good news that Bipin Joshi is safe, we are trying to verify further and get in touch with him,” Lamsal told Onlinekhabar. “We know he is in a hospital but we do not know his condition.”

Personal secretary of Foreign Minister NP Saud, Deepak Raj Joshi, confirmed that the ministry had received information from a credible source that Joshi was alive.

“We have informed his family. Now we are working towards getting him back home,” said Deepak Raj.
