Hamas attack claims 10 Nepali lives in Israel

Kathmandu, October 8

As many as 10 Nepalis in Israel have died following the attack by Palestinian extremist group Hamas on Israel.

Two more Nepalis have been seriously injured in the attack, said the Nepali Embassy in Israel.

According to Kanta Rijal, the Nepali ambassador to Israel, the deceased have been identified as Narayan Prasad Neupane, Ganesh Kumar Nepali, Ashish Chaudhary, Dipesh Raj Bista, Aanand Sah, Rajesh Kumar Swarnkar, Rajan Phulara, Padam Thapa, Pravesh Bhandari and Lokendra Singh Dhami.

Bidhan Sejwal and Pravin Dangi from Dagisharan-3, Dang, sustained injuries and are currently being treated at a local hospital. Both of them are in critical condition.

In Himachal Kattel is also undergoing treatment while Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.

Rijal told Onlinekhabar that efforts are being made to send the bodies of the deceased to Nepal.

“We are doing whatever we can to ensure Nepalis are rescued,” said Rijal.

Approximately 4,500 Nepalis are currently in Israel. There is a collective plea to the government for their safe evacuation from the conflict zone.
