Kathmandu, September 25
A 54-year-old man who had left his home four days ago was found dead at Kalijhod, Mechinagar municipality-12 of the Jhapa district in eastern Nepal, on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Devi Prasad Pokharel (54), a resident of Birtamod municipality-4 of the district. He had left his home four days ago, saying he had to go to the neighbouring district of Ilam.
Police suspect he killed himself as they found a poison container near his body. “But, still, further investigation is underway.”
Pokharel is the husband of local journalist Sushila Sangraula Pokharel.
