Kathmandu, December 24
Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is highly likely to visit India by mid-January 2022, according to Deuba’s secretariat.
It has been learned that Deuba has already received an invitation from his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. The two leaders had had a meeting on the sidelines of the UN climate change summit COP-26 in Glasgow of Scotland in early November.
However, Deuba was delaying the visit as he was busy with the party’s 14th general convention.
A source in Deuba’s secretariat says Nepal has proposed some dates in the first week of January for the visit, but India is yet to confirm. In any case, the visit is almost certain by mid-January, it has been learned.
