Kailali, July 21
Two persons have died whereas three are injured when a landslide buried their house in Malikarjun rural municipality-8 of Darchula in the Sudurpaschim province on Monday night.
The victims have been identified as Arjun Darji and Milan Darji. Laxmi Pariyar and two others have been injured. Pariyar’s condition is critical, according to the District Police Office.
Villagers had learned about the tragedy when Pariyar’s son Shubham informed them this morning. Following that, the locals had reported it to the DPO. The DPO immediately mobilised the team to the incident site, but two were already dead, informs DSP Padam Bahadur Bista.
Police could rescue Pariyar’s daughter, Soniya, only unhurt.
