The United States Embassy in Nepal says it is cancelling all diversity visa and nonimmigrant visa appointments to be effective from Tuesday, citing the global coronavirus fears.
“We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time,” the embassy says, adding the visa applicants, however, can attend appointments after the resumption of the services on the fee they have already paid. The fee is valid in the country where it was paid for one year, according to the embassy.
Those who have an emergency situation to travel to the US can contact the embassy and request an emergency appointment, clarifies the embassy.
