Kathmandu, March 3
Rape-accused Krishna Bahadur Giri aka Siddhababa has surrendered to the Sunsari District Court on Tuesday.
Earlier on January 23, the High Court in Biratnagar had remanded the man who claims to be a religious leader in judicial custody till the final verdict in the case. Before the remand, he had run away to India.
Now, the police will take him to the district jail for custody, according to a police officer.
The District Court had ordered for his release on bail of Rs 300,000. However, the High Court had sent him to custody again after the District Government Attorney Office filed an appeal.
