Kathmandu, February 13
Controversial businessperson Durga Prasain, against whom the Bhaktapur District Administration Office had issued an arrest warrant, ‘secretly’ showed up at the office on Thursday afternoon.
The Chief District Officer, Humkala Pandey, immediately ordered his release on general date.
The office on January 16 had issued the warrant after Medical Education Commission vice-chairman Shree Krishna Giri filed a complaint against him, claiming Prasain defamed him. A few days before that, Prasain had accused Giri of demanding Rs 200 million.
