Kathmandu, February 3
A neice of Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Basnet was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Babita Khadka’s body was found hanging in her room in Balkumari, Lalitpur, police said. Authorities believe that she might have committed suicide.
Khadka, who was tied the knot with Roshan Khadka, the press co-ordinator for Energy Minister Barsa Man Pun, three years ago, was living with her in-laws.
According to police, Babita’s sister-in-law knocked on her door at 10 am on Sunday, but she did not open, Police was called to open the door. They found that Babita was no longer alive.
