ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour begins in Nepal on Friday

The Trophy of the ICC Cricket World Cup is being brought to Nepal on Friday.

According to the ICC’s Nepal Representative Bhawana Ghimire, the Trophy will arrive in Nepal on Friday after completing its tour in Bangladesh. The trophy will be in Nepal for four days. It will be taken to Swyambhu, Chandragiri, and Pokhara, where cricketers, officials, and cricket fans are preparing for the Pokhara Premier League (PPL).
Ghimire said that the trophy will be taken to Chandragiri on October 28 and shown to the Prime Minister and the general public.
The trophy has travelled from Dubai, to Oman, the USA, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh so far. After Nepal, the trophy will be taken to India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany before it is taken to England and Wales on February 19, 2019.

According to the ICC, the trophy will travel not only to countries taking part in the tournament but for the first time ever, to 11 countries where cricket is growing.
