Kathmandu, April 29
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed two individuals as secretaries of the two houses of Parliament.
The appointments were made in accordance with recommendations made by Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara and the upper house Chairman Ganesh Timalsina.
Rajendra Phuyal, who will look after the upper house, is a former president of Parliamentary Affairs’ Journalists Society. He is also an advocate. Similarly, Gopalnath Yogi, who will look after the lower house, is a former president of NGO Federation.
The President has also convened a meeting of both houses of Parliament on May 6.
