Chief of Province 7, Mohan Raj Malla, has called the first meeting of the first session of provincial assembly for February 4
The meeting will convene at 1 pm on the day at the provincial assembly hall, which currently houses the Kailali District Coordination Committee, in the provincial capital, Dhangadhi, according to Secretary at the Office of Province Chief, Yubaraj Subedi.
There are 53 members in the assembly including 25 of CPN-UML, 14 of CPN-Maoist Centre, 12 of Nepali Congress and two of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal.
The constitution says the first session of provincial assembly should begin within 20 days from the date of announcement of provincial assembly results.
The Election Commission had announced the polls results on January 17. Accordingly, all seven provincial assemblies should convene their first session by February 6.
