The Narayangadh-Muglin road, which repeatedly gets obstructed owing to multiple landslides while the road expansion road is underway, will be shut for seven long hours this Saturday, November 11.

A meeting chaired by Chitwan’s Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta on Wednesday decided to bar vehicles from plying the road from 10 am to 5 pm on the day.

The decision was made as a boulder is about to fall onto the road near Setidobhan and workers would manage the rock that day, says Bhatta.

Otherwise, the boulder could cause fatalities in the future, according to him.

Meanwhile, contractors have been directed to fix potholes on the road. Three contractors involved in the road expansion work have been urged to expedite the task by deploying more human resources and equipment.
