After removing three members of NEA Board of Directors on the charge of opposing a campaign aimed at ending load-shedding, the government has appointed three new members to the board.

They are Bhakta Bahadur Pun of Purtimkanda-3, Rukum, Chet Raj Joshi of Martadi-3, Bajura, and Umesh Prasad Thani of Birendranagar-6, Surkhet, according to Basanta Sharma ‘Bikranta’, personal secretary of Energy Minister Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar’.

Then board members Laxman Agrawal, Manoj Mishra and Suraj Lamichhane had allegedly opposed NEA managing director Kul Man Ghising’s campaign against load-shedding.

The Ministry of Energy had fired Agrawal, Mishra and Lamichhane after finding their explanations unsatisfactory.
