Kathmandu, August 17
In the last 24 hours, 765 people have faced action for violating traffic rules in Kathmandu Valley.
Among those penalised: 34 for speeding, 58 for driving under the influence, 27 for running red lights, 48 for illegal parking, 14 for driving vehicles in poor condition, 13 for unnecessary honking, and 8 for picking up or dropping off passengers improperly.
Separately, 31 people attended awareness classes in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday: 18 in Kathmandu, 6 in Lalitpur, and 7 in Bhaktapur. Those who violate traffic rules are required to attend such awareness classes.
