Nawalpur, April 18
Three persons have died when a passenger bus fell off the road along the East-West Highway at Daunne, Binayi Triveni rural municipality-2 of Nawalpur district on Saturday night.
The victims have been identified as Dhanu Darlami, 25, a man from Ilam; Jyamo Hise Chhamo Gyalmo, 57, a woman from Makawanpur, currently residing in Nawalpur; and Himlal Neupane, 72, a man from Chitwan.
Seriously injured in the accident, they had breathed their last while undergoing treatment. Other 28 persons have also sustained injuries, informs DSP Dilip Kumar Giri of the District Police Office. They are receiving treatment at various health facilities of Nawalpur and neighbouring Chitwan districts.
The bus (Na 5 Kha 7000) heading towards Narayangadh of Chitwan from Butwal of Rupandehi had fallen off the road after its driver lost control over the vehicle last night.
