Twenty foreign women were arrested from Thamel, Kathmandu.
SP Pawan Bhattarai of the Kathmandu District Police Office informed that 20 Ugandan women were arrested for engaging in immoral activities and indecent behaviour in the Thamel area.
According to him, the women were apprehended from the road section near Firechok, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–26.
The police stated that they were found harassing foreign and domestic tourists as well as local men by blocking the road and engaging in indecent negotiations and activities, causing discomfort.
SP Bhattarai further stated that the women are under necessary investigation after obtaining a 12-day extension of custody from the Kathmandu District Administration Office.
