2 killed in Trishuli truck plunge

Dhading, March 9

Two people have died when a truck plunged into the Trishuli river at Benighat Rorag rural municipality of Dhading, west of Kathmandu.

The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Bishnu Ghimire of Nala, Banepa municipality in Kavrepalanchok district and 28-year-old Suman Sanjel.

Ghimire is the truck driver while Sanjel is the helper.

The truck (Lu 1 Kha 7763) loaded with cement fell into the Trishuli river when it was heading towards Kathmandu from Rupandehi.

Both the truck driver and his helper died after they were crushed by the truck, police said.

Further investigation is on regarding the accident, the Area Police Office Gajuri said.

The vehicle has fallen in the river.
