Two boys, aged seven and nine, have been found murdered with their throats slit, in Kalaiya sub-metropolitan city of the Bara district in southern Nepal on Tuesday.

The victims are siblings, named Usman Ansari and Amin Ansari. Their bodies were found at a local madrasa in Rangapur, Kalaiya-7, informs DSP Gautam Mishram, the District Police Office spokesoerson.

“We learned they had left their house at around 7 last evening, but found dead with throats slit this morning,” he says, “We have launched an investigation after cordoning off the incident site.”

Mishra says sniffer dogs are also being mobilised in the probe. “We are waiting for the dogs from the Province 2 Police Office to arrive here to search for the culprits,” he says, “because it appears mysterious as there is no weapon nearby.”
