12 new Covid-19 cases found in Surkhet

Kathmandu, May 26

The Karnali Provincial Ministry of Social Development says 12 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Surkhet, the district where the provincial capital of Birendranagar lies, on Tuesday morning.

With this, the number of Covid-19 cases in the district has reached 15. The province, which did not have a single Covid-19 case till last week, now has 23 cases, according to the ministry.

Of the newly confirmed cases, eight are from Birendranagar, two from Bheriganga municipality, and two from Simta rural municipality of the district. Except a woman in Surkhet, all the newly infected persons are male.
