Pant Murder probe: Investigation team submits report to Home Minister

Kathmandu, September 25

The investigation committee formed to look into the murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Pant has submitted its report to Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa on Tuesday. The team was led by Joint-Secretary Hari Prasad Mainali.

Nirmala Pant a teenager living in Bhimdutta Nagar ∴as found murdered on July 26 on a sugarcane field in the city. After locals voiced their concern on the carelessness of the local police, the government had formed a five-member committee under the leadership of Mainali to look into the case.

However, the details of the report have not been made public.
