Nepal Police chief complains of lack of technology to combat crimes

Nepal Police chief Sarbendra Khanal

Rautahat, January 4

Nepal Police chief Sarbendra Khanal says the national police organisation has not been able to deal with some criminal cases owing to lack of sufficient technologies.

Speaking at a function organised in Gaur of Rautahat district on Friday, the Inspector General said his organisation did not have sufficient equipment to control crimes, investigate into the cases and ensure peace and security.

Khanal was of the view that police needed better technologies as criminals also began using advanced technologies of late.

The chief of national police organisation reiterated that he would not spare any official of the organisation if they were found involved in illegal and immoral activities.

In another context, he stressed the need of cooperation between police and community to better ensure peace and security in the society.
