Kathmandu, April 6
Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has landed in New Delhi in India on a three-day state visit on Friday morning.
Indian Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh received him at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Oli is leading a 54-member delegation to the southern neighbour.

Nepal PM Oli leaves for India on three-day state visit
Kathmandu, April 6
Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left for India on a three-day state visit.
It is the first foreign trip of the CPN-UML Chairman after being elected the Prime Minister in mid-February. Except nominal exceptions, all Nepali prime ministers’ first foreign trips have been to India, which surrounds the landlocked country on east, west and south.
The Prime Minister’s delegation includes his spouse Radhika Shakya; ministers Raghubir Mahaseth and Matrika Yadav; chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal among others. A key member of the 54-member delegation, Ministers for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is currently in Baku of Azerbaijan for the Non-Aligned Movement Conference and he will directly fly to Delhi later.
Oli took a flight of the national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, from the Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu to New Delhi-based Indira Gandhi International Airport at 9 am today. He will land in the Indian capital after around one hour.
Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timalsina, senior ministers, security officials, bureaucrats and leaders of his CPN-UML party saw Oli off at the airport.
Oli, Shakya and ministers will stay at the Hyderabad House as state guests.
Oli will return home on Sunday.
