Huawei SEA announces 2018 procurement results of $608 million

Huawei, a leading global provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, has announced its procurement results for 2018 in the SEA region, which amounted to $608 million. In Thailand alone, it reached $196.3 million, followed by India ( $146 million) and Hong Kong ($ 105.3 million). From 2016 to 2018, total procurement in the region amounted to $ 2.09 billion.

The forecast procurement budget for the SEA region in 2019 is expected to grow further, at $652 million.

These dynamic figures were revealed during Huawei’s 2019 SEA Core Partner Convention at The Conrad Hotel in Bangkok. The event theme was “Openness, Transparency, Collaboration for Sharing the Success”. It gathered over 400 delegates from the company’s 1,900+ suppliers in the SEA region, representing various industries such as production, logistics, engineering services, enterprise network, marketing, etc.

Keynote addresses and presentations included a welcome speech by James Wu, President of Huawei SEA, an introduction to Huawei businesses, customer achievements and procurement data in the SEA region. Several Huawei strategic partners such as Turnkey Communications Services (TKC) and Cummins DKSH, from Thailand, shared their experiences with their colleagues. Several companies received an award for their outstanding collaboration with Huawei in the following categories: Admin Purchase, Engineering Service Purchase and Material Purchase.
