Discourse Festival to kick off on May 4

Discourse Dabali, a platform for intellectual discussion, is organising the Discourse Festival on May 4 and 5, marking their 10th anniversary, in Nepali Law Campus, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

The two-day-long festival will feature 20 sessions. There will be around 80 speakers from Nepal, India and Pakistan.  There will be discussion on various topics including contemporary politics, problems of university, migration of young human resources, cinema, environment, literature, music, art, and urban beauty. Politicians, writers, analysts, professors, artists, poets, and film directors, will discuss their respective topics.

Writer and analyst CK Lal will give a keynote speech on the topic of Intellectualism in Nepali society. Similarly, Saroj Giri, analyst and associate professor at Delhi University, will discuss the changing political landscape of India.

“Apart from the discussions, there will be also a staging of drama at the festival. Similarly, the festival will also feature painting and cartoon exhibitions and musical sessions,” says Bishnu Dhungel, festival coordinator.
