Kathmandu, October 9

CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says he wants to establish a new political culture so as to lead economic and social development of the country with the proposed unification among communist parties.

Addressing members of his party-aligned Young Communist League at the party headquarters in Parisdanda today, Dahal said the unified party would have a new ideology.

“The unification means dissolution of UML, Maoist Centre and Naya Shakti. No one will have their old status. The new party will have a new unification.”

“The unification is not the UMLisation of the Maoists, nor the Maoistisation of UML. It is all about making a party on new foundations.”

He said dissolution of old parties and formation of a new one was a natural process in the political changes and the recent decision of unification would lead the country to a socialist revolution.
