Nawalpur, July 27
Thirty-three passengers were injured when a bus caught fire at Daunne, Nawalpur, along the East-West Highway.
The incident occurred at 5:30 am near the Bishwokarma Temple of the Daunne road section at Binayi Triveni rural municipality-2.
The bus (Na 5 Kha 5100) going towards the east veered off and rammed on a hill, SP Prajjwal Maharjan said.
The bus caught fire upon hitting the hill. Maharjan said that among the injured passengers, six are in serious condition.
Eight of the injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Purano Medical College in Bharatpur while the rest are under medical care at Madhyabindu District Hospital, Danda.
