UML will support govt to convince Madheshi Morcha: Nembang

Kathmandu, April 19

CPN-UML Parliamentary Party’s Deputy Leader Subas Chandra Nembang said his party would support the government to convince the agitating Madheshi Morcha for the polls.

Speaking with journalists after the five-party meeting in Baluwatar this morning, the opposition leader said, “If the ruling parties take necessary initiatives to convince the Madheshi Morcha and agitating alliances to participate in the May 14 elections, the opposition will extend a positive support.”

Meanwhile, Nembang said he was hopeful about the agitating parties’ participation in the polls.

“The provision to make Madheshis, Janajatis, Dalits, women and all people from Madhesh to mountains well-equipped with the rights is being implemented on May 14,” the leader argued, “I do not think some friends are unwilling to implement this.”

Nembang and Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam had represented the UML in the meeting.
