Kathmandu, December 16
Voting for the new leadership of the CPN-UML will begin from 7 pm today, according to the party’s Central Election Commission.
The commission said voting will continue until 1 am, December 17. Earlier, the voting process was scheduled to start at 12 noon today, but the election timetable was later revised.
The party is now preparing to complete the voting process starting at 7 pm and conclude all election-related activities within the night.
According to Standing Committee member Binod Shrestha, Bhrikutimandap has been rented only until today for the closed-door session. He said this was one of the reasons the party decided to complete the voting process on the same day.
