Kathmandu, July 28
The Government of Nepal has recommended two female joint secretaries for promotion to secretary positions.
A meeting of the Judicial Service Commission held on Monday morning recommended Nirmala Adhikari Bhattarai and Indira Dahal Bhattarai, both from the legal service group, for promotion.
Nirmala, currently serving as joint secretary at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, is expected to continue in the same position following her promotion. Prior to the recommendation, she had been serving in an acting capacity.
Indira, who holds a permanent position at the Election Commission and is currently working at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, has been recommended for promotion to the Nepal Law Commission.
