Police arrested two people with 27 ATM cards of different banks and Rs 5.77 lakh in cash from Rautahat district headquarters Gaur.
Acting on a special tip-off, a police team arrested Sunil Sah of Dharahari VDC 8 and Purushottam Sah of Dharahari-4 with the cards and the cash.
Ten of the cards are of NIC Asia Bank, seven of Himalayan Bank and six of Machchhapuchhre Bank. The two were also in possession of ATM cards of Rastriya Banijya Bank, Global IME, Nabil and ACE Development Bank.
Police said they recovered the cards and the cash from the duo during a security check.
The two are in custody of Rautahat district police office for investigation.
