Kathmandu, May 3

The Kathmandu District Court has issued arrest warrants, telling the police to nab CPN-UML leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and his son Sandeep over their alleged involvement in issuing documents identifying Nepali nationals as refugees to help them go abroad easily.

The court issued the warrants on Wednesday as the investigation continues.

Just on Tuesday, the police arrested Indrajit Rai, a security advisor to former home minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, over the same case. The police have also received a warrant to arrest Rai’s son Niraj, but he is on the run.

The police arrested former home secretary Tek Narayan Pandey also over the same charge today.

Last month, the police arrested three key members of the forgery racket–Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari and Tek Gurung–based on the complaints filed with them.
