Chinese Defence Minister General Chang Wanquan, who is on a three-day formal visit to Nepal, has assured Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi that Beijing will take appropriate action to restore the Tatopani trading point on the Nepal-China border which was shut after the April 2015 earthquake.
During the meeting between the two minister, Chang held that the Araniko Highway and the Tatopani crossing were on China’s priorities and he would talk to relevant authorities after returning home.
Similarly, modernisation of the Nepal Police’s communication system and training for Armed Police Force also figured during the discussion.
