Kathmandu, March 18
Members of the Nepali Congress-aligned Nepal Student Union have picketed the party’s headquarters in Sanepa demanding that the leaders agree to disallow anyone older than 32 to join the union,
Even though the new provision was accepted by senior leaders, a faction of the student union believes that it will not be implemented.
The group picketed the party office as the Nepali Congress’ central committee meeting was going on. Student leader Sushil Bhatta said that their protest was peaceful and it did not affect the meeting.
