Stock market falls in 2018, high decline in production

Kathmandu, March 31

On Sunday, the first day of weekly trading, the stock market index fell to NEPSE 2018. NEPSE decreased by 17.30 points compared to the previous trading day. A total of Rs 3.20 billion was traded. As the price of 63 companies increased, 172 decreased while 10 remained stable.

The manufacturing group decreased the most by 3.65 per cent. This group was the most affected as the price of Sarbottam Cement Company dropped by 10 per cent and Bottlers Nepal Balaju by 7.6 per cent. The points of Banking dropped to 0.53, Development Bank 1.09, Finance 0.62, Hotel and Tourism 0.76, Hydropower 0.08, Investment 0.79, Life Insurance 0.99, Manufacturing 3.65, Microfinance 1.20, Others 0.71 and business group decreased by 1.74 per cent. The non-life insurance group decreased by 0.12 per cent.

The price of Mayakhola Hydropower Company increased by 10 per cent. The price of Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Limited increased by 7.74 per cent, Mandakini Hydropower by 7.08 per cent, Rapti Hydro by 6.43 per cent, Ingwa Hydro by 6.4 per cent, Win Nepal Microfinance by 5.8 per cent.

The price increased by 10 per cent for the previous seven trading days, but today it decreased by 10 per cent to Rs 974.50. S

Based on the transaction amount, Sarbottam Cement, Gorkha’s Finance, Shivam Cement, Hathaway Investment Company and River Falls Power were ahead respectively. The transaction worth Rs 286.8 million was done.
