Sri Lankan team led by De Silva to play three-match T20 series in Nepal

Kathmandu, March 22

A team of Sri Lankan cricketers will play a three-match T20 series against a Nepali squad in Kathmandu next month, organisers of the event have said.

According to Periwinkle Service, the organiser of the series, Sri Lankan legends Sanath Jayasurya, Chaminda Vaas and Arvinda De Silva will be part of the ‘Sri Lankan Lions’ team to tour Nepal. De Silva will lead the side. Other players in the team are: Upul Tharanga, Rangana Herath, Romesh Kaluwitharna, Dilhara Fernando and Farveez Maharoof.

The Nepali squad will be led by national team captain Paras Khadka and feature members of the senior side.

The matches are scheduled for April 27 and 29 and May 1.
