
Kathmandu, March 23
Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire is set to visit Uzbekistan to attend the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
A nine-member delegation led by Speaker Ghimire is scheduled to depart for Uzbekistan on April 2 and will return to Nepal on April 14.
The two-week delegation includes one representative from each of the four major political parties. The members traveling with Speaker Ghimire are Anjan Shakya from CPN-UML, Shyam Ghimire from Nepali Congress, Suryaman Dong from CPN-Maoist Centre, and Sobita Gautam from Rastriya Swatantra Party.
Other officials accompanying the delegation include Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat; Harka Rai, House of Representatives Secretary; Raju Rimal, Under Secretary of the International Relations Division; and Tej Prakash Bhattarai, Speaker’s Personal Secretary.
