Pyuthan, March 24
At least six people have died and three others have been injured after the jeep they were travelling on fell into a ravine on Friday morning.
Of the three injured, a woman is in critical condition, Pyuthan’s Chief District Officer Yadunath Paudel told Onlinekhabar.
According to officials, the jeep (Ba 8 Chaa 1561) was carrying eight pilgrims to Kathmandu returning home after visiting Swargadwari. The accident happened at around 7.45 in the morning.
The identities of the deceased have not been established. But police say five of the dead are women.
Bus driver Saroj Ghale (21) from Lalitpur Gothikehel and a woman passenger are receiving treatment at a primary healh post in Bhingri.
