Sirohiya brought to Kathmandu by helicopter

Kailash Sirohiya, the president of Kantipur Media Group, who was arrested in the citizenship case, has been taken to Kathmandu by helicopter.

Last Friday, he was admitted to Kavya Hospital in Janakpur due to health problems.

After being referred by the doctor, Sirohiya was sent to Kathmandu today by helicopter for further treatment, said DSP Ranjan Awa, the spokesperson of District Police Office Dhanusha.

The doctors have briefed that Sirohiya has problems related to heart and high blood pressure. He was sent to Medicity Hospital in Kathmandu.

On May 21, Sirohiya was arrested by the police from the Kantipur Media Group office in Kathmandu and brought to Dhanusha based on the complaint made by the Madhesh state member of RSVP, Indrajit Prasad Mahato, to the Dhanusha police on April 28 for citizenship offences.

On Monday, the Dhanusha District Court granted him permission to investigate for the third time by extending the deadline for another three days.
