Janakpurdham, October 22
A tragic accident in Dhanauji, Dhanusha, claimed the life of an 11-year-old girl after she was struck by a school bus on her way to school. The victim, Aarohi Kumari Mandal, was a student at Ramjanaki Boarding School in Dhanauji Rural Municipality-2.
According to Dhanusha police spokesperson DSP Barun Bahadur Singh, the incident occurred around 10 am when a Janjyoti Boarding School bus (registration number Ba 3 Pa 9065) hit the girl as she was heading to school. She was rushed to Provincial Hospital Janakpur in critical condition, where she later passed away during treatment.
Outraged locals set the bus on fire after the incident. DSP Singh confirmed that the bus was completely destroyed in the fire.
