Samajwadi Party Nepal has requested MP Surya Narayan Yadav to reconsider his resignation from the House of Representatives. Yadav, who won his seat from Saptari-1, tendered his resignation to Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara citing ill health.

Speaker’s press advisor’s Dilli Malla informed that Yadav’s resignation, for the time being, had not been accepted. Malla informed that Speaker Mahara held discussions with SPN’s chief whip Uma Shankar Aragariya regarding Malla’s resignation.

Aragariya said that the party was trying to convince Yadav to reconsider his resignation. He added that there was still a chance that the Yadav would reconsider his resignation.

Yadav, who is suffering from diabetes and kidney-related ailments, offered to resign. Aragariya said that the party was assessing Yadav’s medical report and would take a decision after that.
