Salt Trading Corporation sets up hotline for cooking gas related woes

stc-gasKathmandu, May 30

There is no shortages of cooking gas in the market, atleast Salt Trading Corporation (STC) thinks so.

Mahendra Bhusal, general manager of Metro Kathmandu, a subsidiary of STC,  has requested consumers to bring in their empty cylinders to one of the many depos of STC.

“A large number of empty LPG cylinders are still with the consumers,” says Bhusal. According to Bhusal, consumers are keeping the cylinders on ‘hold’ to avoid the inconvenience of having delivered it to a depo only to return empty-handed. “A large number of the consumers still think that there is a shortage of cooking gas in the market,” Bhusal says.

However, Bhusal assures that STC is able to exchange empty cylinders with filled ones just as it had been doing before the recent blockade. Consumers can come to STC’s offices at Kalimati and Jadibuti directly if their dealers cannot provide them with cooking gas, says Bhusal.

If problem persists, consumers can call STC directly at 9851125545, 9851134853 and 01-4993497.
